FINDING YOUR CANOPY SERIAL NUMBER AND DATE OF MANUFACTURE

Your canopy's warning label is sewn onto the tail of the canopy, on the edge, in the centre. It carries:

• Model and size
• Serial Number (S/N)
• Date of manufacture (DOM)

If the label is faded

If you aren't able to read the serial number on the Warning Label, you may also be able to find it written inside the canopy.

• Tandem, Air, Safire 3/4 & Crossfire 3: located on the centre non-loaded rib, stamped onto the tape running between the upper and lower surface (under the bridle attachment point).
• Kraken: located on the bowtie tape running from bridle to attachment point.
• JFX 2, Leia, SLeia & Petra: located on the centre cell crossbrace tape close to the line attachment point.

If you still can't find the serial number, contact sales@jyro.com and one of our team will be able to help you out. You'll need to provide the colours, size and canopy model - basically as much info as you can - so that they can sort through the database. Same goes if you need the date of manufacture.

Once you have it, get your rigger to write the S/N and DOM back onto the canopy warning label. Saves everyone this conversation next time.

A couple things to note:

• If you are the owner of a canopy made before 2008, our team may not be able to provide the information. That was when we joined the 21st Century and moved to digital. We'll do our best though!
• If you have a Crossfire or Safire that has a serial number with six or more digits starting with 9 means that canopy was made by CIMSA in Spain under license. We don't hold records for those, so contact CIMSA directly.
