Requesting a demo

Fill in the demo request form. We need your name, drop zone, jump numbers, exit weight and the canopy and size you want to borrow.

We'll then be in touch to organise getting the canopy to you. Depending on your skydive experience, we may request a reference from a canopy coach or S&TA.

What it costs

USA: You pay $120usd for the demo canopy which includes shipping of the canopy both ways and an inspection on its return.
EU/Australia: Fee is determined by shipping costs so no fixed fee and is handled by our demo partners.

The canopy comes on risers, with a collapsible slider as standard. An RDS is available for JFX 2/Leia for a small fee.

If you are at an even with JYRO demos, there will be no cost. But if you wanna shout an ice-cream or beverage for our demo rep, they wouldn't say no...

How long you'll wait

Depends on the time of year and popularity, but usually no more than 2 weeks wait for a demo canopy in the USA program. Europe and Australia will vary depending on what time year and if the demo fleet is being used for the demo tour.

How long you can keep it

For the USA program, our standard demo period is two weekends from its arrival.
We also partner with Westsky in Europe to offer rental canopies if you are needing a canopy for the season. Contact them directly if that suits you better and they will take it from there.

If you damage the canopy

Reasonable wear and tear of a canopy is expected and part of the demo process. If damage occurs sucha as a tear or a cutaway that isn't recovered, then the user of the demo canopy is responsible for covering those costs. Before any demo canopy is shipped out, we require a waiver to be signed.

Land it in water, drag it through gorse or have a cutaway, tell us straight away. We've honestly heard it all (and experienced some of it too).

Can I buy the demo canopy?

Sometimes. Our ex-demo canopies do come up for sale, so there's no harm in asking. Email demo@jyro.com and our team will let you know if the canopy is available for purchase. If you are interested in purchasing a demo canopy during a demo tour, you will likely have to wait until the end of the season to receive the canopy.

Demos at your dropzone, boogie or skydiving event

If you run a DZ or an event and want to have JYRO demos available on site, email demotour@jyro.com as early as possible. Our demo canopies travel a lot and the calendar fills months out.
